~Two days trip with my family~

We arrived at Shizuoka station. There are some flags. It because one of famous Japanese animation was borned here. It calls 'Chibimaruko chan'. It's still on air.

Nihondaira to Kunouzan (Mt. Kunou)

We went to Nihondaira and walked around there then took a ropeway which is like bottom photos.
There are few very long rope between a mountain to another mountain or Bottom of the mountain to top of the mountain. This time was first one.
It was really gorgeous view.

Dropped off the ropeway I saw beutiful view. There are many strawberry's green house which I could see. (First of the photo)
There are some shrines which used to be a temple. Some of them are national treasure.
Those shrines were currently repainted, so it was so brilliant. This shrine is repaint every 50 years. They used gold, many colours and Urushi (lacquer)...

In Shizuoka prefecture...

We stayed hotel where located on the cliff One of the photo has white building. That building is a part of hotel.

It was really nice of view. Tree photo is from our room. That tree is Matsunoki (pine tree).

In the morning we walked around the hotel. Before we were walking, it was rain, but it's stopped, so we could go. Anyway we could see the Mt. Fuji from the premise of the hotel.

I was so happy about it, because around this season it's really hard to see it.

Walking to the Yaizu sakana centre

That fish centre are many fish shops. It's fish market. On the way to the fish centre I saw a nice view. It was railway bridge.
At the lunch time I had a sushi meal. It was special sushi dish. It was really yummy. ;-)
From the top left Maguro (Tuna), Maaji (Horse mackerel), Kinmedai (Alfonsino).
Midlle left Shirauo (Ice fish), Uni (Sea urchin), Sakura ebi (small prawn)
Bottom Anago (Sea eel).

~Lunch time~

I had a lunch with my friends today. It was really cheap. Less than 900yen(AUS $9). I can't believe... I couldn't find like this meal while I was in Australia. I guess it's cultural and life style difference. It's really interesting for me. Anyway I had a good time and meal.

~Sunset~

I saw gorgeous sunset today. The sky of the colour was so beautiful. It reminds me sky in Australia. I often see the sky like this... The autumn sky always makes me sorrowful feel.

At the rice field











Pink, white and dark pink flowers are cosmos.
Now is hearvesting season, so there are many rice ears.
White flower with big leaves are tea tree. This tree can make green tea.

It was gorgeous weather, so I could take nice photo of temple.








In the city












We walked in the city and found funny car. Actually cute post is on the car. Also there are interesting decoration of roses. There are in the bamboo. We saw beautiful flower arrangement too.








I joined a walking event with my mom.
It was shower in this morning, so we talked about join or not. After watched weather news, we decided to go, becasue they said will fine soon. It was right.
When we arrived still shower, but 30minutes later stopped the rain, then sunny and really hot. Actually it's like a summer. I got suntan.
Anyway I took some photos, so I put some of them here.
We walked over 10km, so bit tired though... but it was really nice day trip.

I was making Japanese curry.

When I rinsed some vegetables, I found out this.

It's really funny to me, so thought I should take photo.

I can see nose. And someone's face.

~Red leaf~












I found a red leaf in my parents garden. I mean at the balcony.
It was bit strange, because only this one turn red. It's cute though.
This tree call 'Nankinhaze' in Japanese, in English 'Chinese Tallow Tree'.
This leaf growing secretly.

It was pretty night, so I thought take some photos.
I'm still practicing myself. Recently I got a tripod from my brother, so it was a good chance to take this.
Actually if you zoomed this, it's bit blurry, but it's ok. Still I can see some craters...

Japanese course

~Tofu ciurse~






























On Sunday I had a dinner with my family and grandma.
We went to Tofu restaurant call 'Mamecho'.
It was nice to see my grandma. and talk to her.
We had tofu course. Food was lovely. Everything served small dishes and we had 9 kind of things. I put some of them.
One is put on the some mushrooms. We call 'Nabe' in Japanese. If it translated, 'Pod food'. I reckon.
It served by pot. There is small stove each person, and cooked in front of us. This photo is already cooked. It based on fish stock, but smell is mushroom. It becaue it's run out extract of mushroom. Smell is very nice.
Next is skewered tofu. It's call 'Tofu dengaku' in Japanese. In English 'Grilled tofu' . There were three kind of tofu. From left side, 'Atsuage' in Japanese, in English 'Deep fried toufe', next is normal tofu and right side 'Mochi fu'. In English... I'm not sure, but it's kind of wheat gluten.
Last is dessert. This soft served ice cream. We call 'Soft cream'. It's not normal ice cream. It made of soy milk. Taste is mild not too sweet. 'Kinako' on the ice cream. 'Kinako' is soybeans's powder. And put on chestnuts. This chestnuts boiled with suger and water.
I should translate back of the paper wrapped of chopstick and coaster.
Coaster says, 'Mame', in English 'Beans'.
And papper wrap says,

Good bittern
Please taste it, made by chef, stick with true things and old fashioned taste.
